:wth: gearboxes are a pain with so little room. i had to pull mine out adn it took forever to get her in and then i had loads of nuts and bolts left over :shock: but so far the box hasnt fallen out :lolz:

It's been a long time since i posted up any update's on the Si but i have been so busy and havnt really had time or money to do anything to her :(

Anyway after my gearbox blowing up i managed to get a cheap one from a breakers yard just to get the car on the road again so i could get to work and my girlfriends again! Anyway after the first one went i had it in my head that it was time for an upgrade but just couldn't afford a new uprated box. Well my parents said to me that they would pay for a bran new uprated box for me as part of my 21st birthday present :halo:

So went on the net to find an s2 rst box with lsd but couldn't find one anywhere apart from high mileage one's. Finally found a place that does re con box's but there uprated s2 LSD box was £450 :O so the guy said that he has a bran new rebuilt RST box with uprated bearings good for 200bhp which was in my price range so i took it :thumbsup: :halo: should be turning up today or tomorrow then hopefully get it fitted along with uprated clutch next week sometime :halo: should be nice having a bran new box in there, smooth gear changes :chill:

Anyway i shall get photo's and details of how it is when i fit it :thumbsup:

phil it's not an lsd unfortunatly :( couldnt afford a recon with lsd so its just a standerd rs box!

fitted it today and it is awsome! fitted an uprated rs turbo clutch along with it which is sooooooo light on the peddle, no force really needed to push it down :thumbsup: gearchanges feel like a new car and 0-60 feels quicker for some reason! but have to get into 3rd to hit 60, 5th is very good, 2.5k at 70 :thumbsup: it pulls so much better that the 1.6 box! and no more slipping clutch 8-) :D

can have a play with you adam :lolz: :P

bit confused tho, cant find the plug to plug my fan into :lol: so can someone show me a pic of where on the engine bay loom the fan cable come's from? ill will post in the tech problems and see if i get a responce in there :thumbsup:

and yeah wecan have a play now, but i reckon your shorter gearing could give you the upper hand :) but it will be fun, and i am currently k+N less, and more importantly, bits might fall off :lol:
