Ok written a short list here of what i need as im starting the engine conversion on the 20th of this month

Parts list needed to fit 2ltr:
CVH Engine mount and plate to fit engine
XR2 tie rod bar and connecting chassis plate
XR2 gear box cradle
CVH alternator bracket or rs1800 bracket
Rs1800 auxiliary belt
XR2 driveshaft’s to take the 100+ BHP jump! 
XR2 exhaust system

Parts that need fabricating:

CVH Engine mount adapted to follow zetec bolt holes
MK2 fuel tank to be fitted with a swirl pot and fiesta si fuel pump
Fuel line to fit zetec fuel rail and pump
Larger return into tank as not very big at all.lol
Seem weld the turret and mount support for strength
Fit loom as follows into existing loom:

(this is not my image, its of Quantums.info, found it to be the best layout)
Other than that I think I will be ready to dump it in and hopefully fire straight up. I need to source all these parts by the 20th of feb as I have four days off work to get the engine and everything finished and build to go in her.lol here comes the fun then.lol so this means by end of feb I should be up and running zetec again

Car looks well nice in those pics mate, those seats look like they are designed to be in there, match the rest of the interior really well!

The carpet under the mats looks totally different, I wud say it must of had mats from new to look like that!

As said, that wiring diagram is confusing as hell, I respect you for understanding it!

Its been a very busy weekend for me and here is my large update.lol

Firstly i stripped of everything that was not needed from my 2ltr and gave her a quick like of paint!
(the rocker cover will be repaint white, it was just a guideline to see what it would look like white)

Image

Then it was time to pop the bonnet and take out this little lump

Image

engine out then
Image

The fez was up in the air then

Image

Image

Then i fabricated engine mount, gearbox mount and fitted the xr2 tie bar and xr2 cradle, then compared the drive shafts from the diesel box to the 1.1 driveshafts they were a completly diffrent shape:

Image

i popped the cups out of the 1.1 box and they fitted directly to the diesel box so easy problem solved

Image

Also went out and bought a new xr2 exhaust system as i do want to just go for the clean/ sleeper look and it looks the nuts.lol

Image

and fitted in place

Image

it has been welded directly to the zetec down pipe and it only has literally just the centre box :) no cat needed ;)

now we couldnt get the fez high enough on jacks to push the zetec under so one person on each front arch we lifted it and another made slid it under :P surprisingly light for a car.lol

Then got distracted and thought it would be funny to blue tack a cosworth badge to the back as i had two lying around

Image

engine was then fitted up and the all plumbing done, two custom pipes needed all i did is got spares from the si and put an alloy tube in between them to extend the pipes around the engine, i used the si rad as i know the plumbing for these so it made it easier, only real issue there was the si rad is huge in comparison to the 1.1 one so made out own lugs on the rad to mount it to the chassis

I fitted the inlet and exhaust and did wired the loom into the engine side, still trying to work out the other side of things now but thats to someone called benny who is on XRtwo.com and lives local to me ive cracked it! just need time to wire the other side into the mk2 loom now.

I did start plumbing in an erst pump in line as a temp job but after speaking to another guy im going to pick up a mk2 tank with a swirl pot and fiesta RST pump already build in so thats going to save me LOADS of head stress.lol then all i need to do on the fueling side is wire in a relay for the pump and put the zetec fuel line connectors on the other side (if you look at the bulk head you will see where i will be fitting the filter)

Also one other issue im having is i have an overhanging cvh alternator bracket rather than an underhanging bracket so my alternator wont fit between the water pump and the chassis...it either hits one or the other.

Other than finishing the loom, fitting tank & sourcing hanging bracket and belt then obviously tidy everything in the bay im ready to go  im hoping she will be running by next weekend

Although Benny doesn't come on this site got to say thank you to him as his advise has saved me a few times  lol

Comments welcome please
