Right,

Got some pics after a quick wash (sorry it's still wet). Fitted a new aerial an some
hubcentric spacers on the rear as the standard track is silly skinny at the rear.

Here y'are..........













Also fitted a FMIC today......... but of a b*tch to be honest, loads of cutting envolved.
Kept blowing boost hoses off on the test drives after but finally got it sorted now. Car
has some issues though as it isn't boosting as high as it should so need to plug it into
VAG-COM again!!!!

Anyway here are a few pics of the fitting........









Going to have to get some mesh as I don't really like it on show. Looks a bit
crazy LOL.

Painted the FMIC black as it was doing my head in. Going to get some black mesh soon
too as I doubt I can bodge the standard grill back in now, there is hardly any of the bumper
left

Id have personally not painted it for a couple of reasons that i shall now list!

*as it gets stoned chipped you'll have silver spots all over it
*Black Retains heat more than lighter colours such as silver
*You can reduce the thermal cooling efficiency of the intercooler as the paint can clog the fins.

I did want to have my FMIC powdercoated/sprayed Gunmetal, so i used mesh, but the one i bought is to fine, so not very visable, so getting some thicker stuff.

You should of seen the standard one if you think thats small mate

With big coolers these cars get loads of lag because they only have incie wincie
turbos. I don't want it on display at all thats why its black, will be getting some mesh.
Only the front part is sprayed so most of it is still silver. After it's been ragged if you
touch the cooler the pipes are really hot at one end and FREEZING at the other so
it's deffo working. Better than the tiny standard one next to the manifold anyway

get it checked over asap, as the guy who RR'd my car said mone is running a little lean on boost! thats due to a bigger FMIC being fitted

boot issue might be down to the new FMIC as well, but i could be wrong

still with the changes you've done it looks ace!!

I need to get it on VAG-COM it's started missfiring like a biatch, and only peaking at
17.5 psi now and should be 21 psi with the re-map, boost drops off too early aswell.

There are loads of things it could be, mainly various valves and sensors that provide
the info for the requsted boost values.

Will find out soon.
