Iam planning on changing my rocker cover soon. is it advised that i also get a new rocker gasket while iam there ?. Just a few questions

1. Are they easy to put in ? (anything special i need to know about them)
2. are the rocker gaskets for the 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 Zetecs the same ?
3. any idea how much a genuine ford one costs ?

Absolute piece of yellow piss mate!

The zetecs have a rubber one and it slots into the grooves on the cam cover. Then simply replace the cam cover. Nothing you need to know in particular really.

Just phoned my local ford dealer. Rocker gasket are £12.39 with VAT. There are cheaper ones out there but for such a small amount i'll stick with ford.

just make sure it's seated correctly when you fit it. otherwise you may get oil in plug bores which'll cause all kinds of weird problems!

when u put the rocker on mate work from the centre and tighten them all down even otherwise it will leak oil and ull end if squashing the gasket if there too tight

Its on and all seems to be ok
