Today we went to an open day with the RSOC at Austec Racing in Crawley, and i put the cos on the rollers again just to see a difference between here and street racers...

what gear did they run you car in terry ? i do hope it was 4th or the figures are worthless

im getting the feeling itwas 5th tho

they did run's in 4th and 5th

i think the print out is for a run in 5th,4th gear was giving pretty much the same reading out of the 4 or 5 run's i had 2 or 3 runs in 4th and 2 or 3 in 5th

why's it worthless?

4th is 1:1 ratio in a T5 box, 5th is an overdrive gear so giving some sort of multiplication of output

Can tell is 5th because of the 7200rpm being 156mph,

Also that does seem to be a huge amount of drag loses, probably due to being run in 5th.

Its transmission drag, it works it out from how long it takes the revs to decrease whilst in gear.

weight inside the car would of had little effect on that

do you remember what what your 4th gear power figures were ?

They did 2 runs in 4th previous to the run in 5th.
First was just below 300bhp, and the second run in 4th was 306bhp.
