to elaborate;
it depends on how mechanically minded you are. All in all its a moderately hard job - in labour it costs around £100-£150 giving you an idea of how long it should take.
some things to watch out for:-
1) Get some spring compressors. Safety is priority and this can be dangerous without them.
2) Plenty of WD40 will be required no doubt
3) A good mallet would be useful too.
4) as you take the retaining nut and cups/bushes/bearings off the strut place them in order yuo took them off to make refitting them easier!

its not too hard tbh, its a case of removeing the one bolt that goes through the hub holding the shock in on the front, remove the track rob end from the hub and remove the brake line clamp and the ARB link from the strut, get a soft mallet and wack the hub at the top to knock the hub off the shock and the unbolt the 1 bolt under the bonnet holding the top of the shcok in and then it will come out, then as said your need a spring compressor to get the spring off and then undo the bolt at the top of the shock and then take the old shock off and then stick your lowerd one on, then the reverse to put it back!

rears are easier, just 1 bolt on the rear beam at the bottom of the shock and then two in the boot, shouldnd need a spring compressor for the rears :thumbsup:
