Well i haven't updated for a while - it's been an absolute nightmare!!
Got a call 7 weeks after the car went in to say the car was roadworthy and i'd have to have it back as they were still waiting on the Wolf rear apron to be sent out from Germany and this wasn't stopping me from driving the car. I thought fair-enough as they've paid for a hire car for 7 weeks so i went to pick it up . . .
Everything they had done was done wrong/badly, the list was:
*Paint the wrong colour
*No Wolf rear apron (they've only just ordered it after 10 weeks!)
*Rear bumper incorrectly fitted
*Sag in the paint on the tailgate
*Boot floor not rubbed down or painted properly
*Too much sealer/underseal and poorly applied
*Run in the base-coat on rear quater panel (which he tried blaming on me spilling something down it!)
*Spoiler not fitted correctly (the boot is also slightly out making it worse)
*Scratch on the underside of the spoiler (now sorted)
*Flat paint on the doorshut where it hasn't been brought back up
*Grinder marks on the doorshut where some of the paint has been polished up
*Grit and dirt in the paint
*Tape marks and fat edges where they've poorly masked off and sprayed areas of the car instead of doing it properly
*Black foreign substanse on my bonnet (now sorted)
*Dent in drivers door (which the owner tried telling me was already there but he's since pulled out)
As if to add insult to injury when i picked up on these points the owner of the repair centre didn't like it and started tearing the rest of the car was rubbish - that it was a shoddy kit, looks awful, the front end is 3 different colours and the paint is poor. That's not your concern! Fix the back properly!!
He then said that all he wants is for me to be happy and recommend him to others! I think not!!! I had to have the car back as the insurance on the hire car had ended as my car was now roadworthy - and if i'd have left it at the repair centre they were going to charge me storage
I have since taken the car down to Xquisite Automotive and spoken to K and the guys (was already having some work done down there) and he's very kindly doing me a full post-repair inspection report and a quote of how much it would cost to put right so that i can argue with the insurance on a level playing field . . .
Will keep you all updated . . .
