Hi Guys,

hopefully just a quick question for someone who has stripped a 2.0 Zetec before dropping it in their Fiesta.

What size bolts do I need to attach it to the engine stand?

normally fix to gearbox mounting flange which are 10mmx1.5mm pitch bolts

100mm bolts should do the trick with some washer for spacing if needed shouldn't they??

depending on the thickness of the engine stand plate, would think 100mm may be a bit to long if you need to use the two bolt holes under the thermostat housing as they are blind holes where the others the bolts will just go right through.

HI Guys,

Have got it up on the stand now and have the head stripped ready to be cleaned and rebuilt.

Having a bit of bother getting the bolt off of the crank pulley to change the water pump/oil pump/timing belt.
Well, actually, the little fecker won't budge at all!!

Anyone got any ideas on the best way to get it off without the use of an air-gun?

Hi there,

Nope, head is off!

TBH I dont think the timing belt would have held, the bolt is on pretty damn tight!! I have had a filter strap wrench on the pully and my dad trying to undo the bolt and it won't budge!!

Was thinking of some sort of strap to a flywheel bolt, but not sure if there is any better way to do it!!
