I now own a V reg Escort TD. Tempted to put it on the road once the tax runs out on the pickup.. but that'll be close to FITP so not sure yet.. unless I take it off the road at start of year, cash in the tax.. do all the bodywork intime for FITP lol :rolleyes:

Well Pickup is an ongoing project again..

Ready for FITP.

Whats expected:

Inside:
RS1800 Wingback seats and doorcards.
Central Locking
Electric Windows
Headlining sorted out as its nackered
General Tidy up of the interior
Maybe a MK5 dash.. If I can be arsed.

Outside:
Smoothed bumper lines
Smooth the edges of the panel on the rear quarters and boot lid
RS Turbo bonnet
16" Fox Evo 3's in white
Mondeo 2.0ltr front brakes
Standard downpipe/cat with Magnex Cat back, 3inch backbox instead of ashley manifold and 4inch backbox

Full respray in the diamond white
Bonnet vents maybe in black along with rollbar

Making a cover for the rear to make it look better. Which will be in black.

IF I get chance...

the engines coming out, new timing belt.. fitting PAS rack.. and modded arch liners to fit the modded arches with 16's

You'll have to wait till FITP as I'm not posting any pictures.

Yeah a fair bit to do to it

Also wanting to fit MK6 Escort Brake Servo as mine has seen better days!
Maybe some kinky front brakes too

MK5 doorcards will be joining the MK5 dash if I go ahead with it... Going to see if I can fit the MK5 fuel sender from the tank to make sure I have the gauge going the correct way and have the fuel low warning light

and yeah it seems to be reliable old girl :lol:

i'm getting worried, as the ST is not growing on me as i expected :lol:

i mean its quiet, refined, amazing to drive, fairly nippy, good interior, amazing heaters and stereo, yet sometihng is missinghtemark for me :lol:

Well the RS1800 wingback are in now... damn I missed them!!! makes the car feel so different just from a simple swapping of the seats!!!

the other changes will be done eventually.. powersteering/brake servo/exhaust (standard with cat and with mangex catback) engine bay respray along with some modded arch liners will happen one day when I get a timing belt kit.. so I can do everything while the engine is out!! its just getting round do doing it :rolleyes:

Nice one, I thought that fuel gauge always went the wrong way :rolleyes:

do you have the low fuel warning light coming on also??

Shame there are never any puma's around my scrappers... there was one black one a few weeks back but its gone, so hopefully when I go a week on saturday to get one there will be a black set :thumbsup:

If not, its easy enough to spray it up properly before fitting, which will give me chance to sort the wiring out for everything first!

Will I still have to use the mk3 steering column cover?

Ooo Ive even got a MK5 steering wheel too :lolz:

Also going to get MK5 headlining (well half of one) as I want my ghia x lights fitted properly to make it look neater :chill:

EVERYTHING needs to be from the mk4/5 - steering cowling, center console etc none of the mk3 stuff will fit.

there is lots of metal bracing behind the dash that needs cutting away also....

Like i said, im more than happy to give you a hand with fitting it and the wiring - just come down one weekend, ill do it for naff all

Erm well... as Im getting bored of things and the engine needs to come out at some point anyway... (clutch / timing belt / pas fitment)

Some nice extra power mods might be on the RS1800 lump, and might be done for FITP!

All I'm saying is.. K03 / IC / Megasquirt :lolz:
