hi car passed the dreaded mot yesterday after spending 400 on it and now the car decides to die when i put my lights on or heater or anything that drains alot of current also iv noticed a fast clicking noise coming from the fusebox when it goes to stall think its a relay goin crazy any one had this problem befor or have any ideas? thanks.

Put a testmeter over the battery terminals when the engine is running to see if the battery is charging (should read 14v), if it reads 12V or less then the alternator is fooked and not charging the battery!

This happened to me after an mot, the tw*ts bashed the alternator on the ramps and broke it!

This would explain the stalling when lots of load is put on the electrics, the bettery won't be able to cope!

i had the exact same problem after a mot iv got a new alternater now

all sorted now thanks for help i removed fusebox and replaced relays and was fine after i also notice after the mot my car had traveled 70 miles during it mot :o :lol:
