I can't believe my luck lol, was in town today trying to reverse into a space on the left side of the road, so i pulled up next to the car in front with a car waiting in the road behind me

I then tried to reverse into the space but totally messed it up with almost half the car in the road and the woman in the car continued to wait so i thought sod it i'll go park somewhere else when all of a sudden with no warning she decided she wasnt going to wait, just as ive started to pull out

As a result shes driven past while im pulling away and the side of her car and the drivers side front of mine is done too

will need a new front bumper, the wing might be salvagable as may the bonnet, am going to get an estimate tomorrow, but just what i didn't need right now

We swapped details and she said she had already made 3 claims so far in less than a year and it were her husbands A class merc! She said that she will claim liability for it so hopefully it will all be sorted with only a small increase on my policy

(Admiral consider any accident a risk whether its youre fault or not, as they logged that incident where phil reversed into my fiesta and increase my policy because of that

Yeah i know Gonna wait for the insurance companies to talk and see how it goes, the fact that she has made 3 claims in less than a year so far might swing my way but it might be 50/50

If it goes 50/50 then the Focus will have to be fixed i would think with my insurance as unless i get a good payout with my back pay and pay rise to pay it i will have to use insurance and lose my NCB

If that happens i'll probs go back to a Fiesta Zetec S TDCi and have a map on it, so i get 65mpg, £35 tax, cheap insurance and lots of torque

Fingers crossed though that it goes my way!

Oh yeah and the damage, Bumper wing and headlamp on drivers side

IT must be accidents weekend as someone drove into the side of me too

I wouldnt mind one of the TDCI fiesta's...I ripped the front bumper off the works one this week

Although thats only 1.4, but still pretty good.

Did you get her to sign anything admitting it was her fault? Because I can assure you when it comes to telling her hubby about it, he'll say "Bollocks are you admitting guilt". When I had my accident ages ago, the bloke admitted liability at the scene, and I never got anything signed, so I went round to his house after the cars had been recovered and got him to sign an admission. But even that was a bit dodgy as he could've claimed harrassment. But to be fair to him, he went to his insurers in Birmingham and told them not to even bother fighting it

I'm liable as i pulled out from the side of the road apparantly So the focus will be going back

The repair damage to it comes out at just under £1100

Not sure what im gonna do, could get a swap for ZS tdci (they cost about 7k)

Or i could hand it in, pay off the remaining £2k credit and buy a fiesta si?

Although, still a shit tho.


Anyways...

I would either get a ZS TDCI and remap it, and just enjoy a nice newer car.

But going back to an Si and pay off 2k seems abit daft even to me.. in a way you could be free from the debt.. but I'd get a decent car over an Si anyday.

fuck old cars. they're all wank. Going from a T reg to an R reg was no problem as they were both mint. But then going to an L reg sucks ass!

I'd never own a 106 or Fiesta again unless my life depended on it.
