recently got a new car, and when i turn the wheel more then a turn to the left it makes a banging noise sometimes as if something is getting stuck on my wheel then pinging off again as i turn it a bit more. doesnt sound healthy.
i took the wheel off and noticed there was no anti roll bar on there any more could this be something to do with it? its only on one side that it makes the noise.

thanks

I assume you've got a fez? Has it got aftermarket alloys which are bigger than standard (e.g 16", 17") If so it may be these rubbing on your arches. When you say it doesn't have an anti roll bar any more do you mean the whole thing has been removed or just the end bit that joins to your suspension leg? If its just the end bit then it may be the rest of the anti roll bar hitting the wheel. Also, shot cv joints will make a knocking noise when turning so it may be these.

Could be the drive shaft knocking.

it could also be a spring loose or a broken spring and if the links arm has been removed it will knock going over bumps
