The RST is quite a resonable engine to lob in :thumbsup: how ever i can get a bog standard 2l for cheap, the thing is i fancied the CVH due to its turbo capabilities

yeah but a cheap, ragged RST lump, is trouble, and the torque destroys gearboxes once tuned :)

love RST's but make sure the engine has been rebuilt/maintained/both and has receipts of work or it could prove to be unreliable.

My mate had a 1.9 S2, and contary to what some people say about CVH turbos, it never went wrong once

the plan was to get one and while it was out of the car rebuild it. exactly it like anything else look after it and it looks after you.

rebuild it, and buy quality parts and it if you look after it, bobs your uncle :)

even with mfi, the S2 never went wrong, just gearboxes were destroyed by the torque of the 1.9 :D :lol:

well the plan was as follows, upgrade the front to cossie brakes, and maybe a rear disk conversion, then while the engine is out depending on how many queens heads ive got, will be what goes in first, i already have a super chip, sports cat and free flowing exhaust, so it would be kent cams and a remap first when the engine is sorted, i just need a shopping list so i can get some quotes. :thumbsup:

and a RST intercooler will be fine for standard power, you'll need the RST rad as well i think (feel free to correct me people) but as such, standard can be improved, its all down to the money you have to spend :)

your plans sound good :) although rear discs are not neccesairily a good tihng on a fiesta, i believe DALSY removed his rear dsics due to brake bias issues :)

sort out what you need first, then get some prices, as you budget for that :)

to play with i have got about £900 thats all in for this engine, dont need to worry to much bout fitting as my mate can help with that, ive asked just affords and places like that but they say i need to be more specific when asking :doh: so if anyone know's the full lot i would need i would love you forever (in a manly way (not gay ) ) :thumbsup: yeah i was thinking about the issue would the drums be up to scratch or would i need to upgrade them ??

i'm not a fountain of knowledge :lol:

but the list should include:

* RST Lump
* Ancillaries
* Cooling System
* Pref a S2 box with LSD but a FRST Box will suffice
* Parts to rebuild engine:
* Gaskets
* Ideally get turbo checked out
* ETC :lol:

but drums should be ok, upgrade the front discs :)

Rob on here did an EFI conversion on a S1 RS Turbo, and he had the engine and management :thumbsup:

i think the most expensive part will be the turbo, and the engine it's self, as the less you spend the less you get. I've just gota take my time and not rush into anything lol :thumbsup:
