need some advice this kid has a zetec s for sale with a puma race engine in its the SE engine so i take it its the puma race engine now the lad want £1800 for it and its done 90000 and i told him not to pay that much for one what yoy guys recon

any pics of the car
does the inlet manifold have a number stamped on it?
when you say it has 90k on the clock is that the chassie or is that the engine mileage ?
check the oil level and check to see if its had a cambelt change as the interval for the puma lump is 80k or every 5 years.

if its in good nick then £1800 is a steal if it has a genuine frp lump fitted as the engine alones goes for more than £1500

ill have a look at that m8 ive been told its a race engine but the proof is always in the pudding

The most visual difference is the inlet. Cams, Ecu, exhaust give the extra power.

The Inlet dosen't have to have number on it as you can buy new ones from pumaspeed/pumabuild, ford had to make a number of spares.

Puma'd engined Fiesta would be quicker IMO than a 2.0l si and the engine responds so much better to breathing mods than the 2.0l. Id have one.

mk5's are ok, not my personal fav, mk3 is one of the best looking in Si/Rs/Xr/Pickup guises

obviously i like the mk6/6.5 or i wouldn't have got one

Search for a old user called Dodge and look at his Puma'd fiesta, then tell me you wouldn't have one!

Yeah I would have a Puma engine'd Fiesta.

But not a MK5, as thats done to death and MK5's look pap.

The idea of shoving one into a MK3 could be entertaining tho.
