for the record, thats how i had my omp strut braces on my fiesta

car looks mental mate, really a weapon

A wee update

Thats the engine all built up now, with the modified water pump pulleys , and engine mounts as well as inspection of the engine and reassembled with new steel head gasket

The big end bolts are now ARP bolts to help keep it all together when Im giving it stick

I decided to stick with the ST head as the ports are massive and it has bigger valves, and Ill use the V V T too for now till I get new cams and verniers to suit

A few quick photos of the engine, Im hoping to have it in the engine bay next week sometime, then get all the new suspension and brakes on the car , and running middle of January, just need to make time for the car

Should see close to 200bhp with that engine (as you probably know, the st170.. wasnt really 170bhp standard, typical)

Not planning on doing much to the ESCOS this year, so Fiesta can have some cash spent on it, need to make it more reliable, as its been failing lately, and its just down to lack of maintenance and not upgrading the car

Ill definately be at Ford Fair this year, without a doubt, so Ill book the track time along with the rest of the Fiesta SI.com guys and gals, and Ill stick to the right to let you faster guys through

what ignition system are you going to run with the carbs?

Will, I use Weber Alpha 3D engine management which controls the ignition advance for the spark, and also the carbs are fitted with a throttle position sensor, so that i get the most ignition advance on full throttle

Sent the ECU down to Webcon last time to get the rev limiter raised and the ignition map changed , maybe need to do this again once the new spec of the car is completed

A wee update, thats the engine almost fully installed now, just some wee bits to finish off, but nearly there






Also fitted the B&M shifter today, man thats a great piece of kit, and fitted the alcantara covered wheel, I bought this last year without a boss, and couldnt buy one, so made one myself
