Have to say, crunch from 2nd to 3rd ( ) aside, i love it. The handling is fantastic, although its still being run in, i've gone in to corners at speed and have been impressed with the lack of roll, grip and brakes The seats are tres comfy and generally i have found the interior to be quite spacious for a small car, and the stereo is very impressive for a standard system. (just need an ipod now as i have 140 cds in my car )

For a car with a standard intake and exhaust, the noise it makes is lush although i've only taken it to 4000rpm so far . That said, even with only taking it to 4000rpm, mpg is averaging at 30.8 and due to the relative small size of the petrol tank, as mole said, petrol trips will be frequent

I've only had it 10 days, yet have racked up 740 miles and when the 1000 mile service/check up is due, i will kick up some shit with ford over the gear crunch . The gearbox is very good, with a short throw, but this problem takes the edge off somewhat..........

still, nitpickers pics will be up in due course, this is a prelude

Looks nice though. I'd love a new car with tight suspension and the like. I'm glad you don't have the wannabe fast car stripes too! it's looks crap on anything but a Dodge Viper or AC Cobra.

I think the missus might get a Mk6 ZS TDCI in a year or two. I like Mk6's as a daily. I'm glad they finally made the chassis handle well, but at a cost of weight. Still, most new cars are the same. And I can't say anything being a former 306 owner.

yeah i know, but its better then nothing for now

and yeah don't like the stripes at all, i was offered them as was like

yeah the handling is a noticeable upgrade on the mk3, as the last fiesta i drove was a mk3

looks good - poly-bushusing, lowering and 10/12.5mm rear axle spacers will sort the handling out

but will probably say goodbye to my warranty

i have a couple of minor plans for the ST. Nothing to void the warranty

* Some personalised floor mats as i got none with the car, and would like some personalised ones
* Detailing Session: My dad is booking me in (i think ) with some bloke who works on Astons, Ferraris and etc and is advertising in performance car magazine, i'm sure a fiesta would be a come down to earth moment for him
* Maybe an ST tax disc holder

and thats it i think for the time being. I don't want to touch the engine, as just in my own opinion i want to get used to it as it is and keep the warranty intact. I may save up to buy engine parts at a later date, but nothing is immiently planned (plus kirsty would kill me )

looks really nice i like them in blue! hope your enjoying it even with the faulty gearbox

Lowering won't affect your warranty as long as it's the Ford-approved kit. Lowereing and performance parts that are garanteed by Ford and won't affect your warrenty are available from Mountune (i.e the 165ps and 185 kit)

Axle spacers haven't affected anyones warranty as far as i'm aware - iirc the ones zippyracing sell are Ford or Ford-approved

Edit: Aero wipers and smooth rear astra wiper along with coloucoding should be added to your list of plans

and i'm going to ask ford a thing or 2 at the 1000 miles check up

going in on the 12th Jan for a synchro change on 3rd gear as it was confirmed its fucked

least its getting fix, now get outside in the cold sunshine and get some better pic's

hmm yeah, but its pissed me off as its only 2 fecking weeks old

and it will take 5 days to fix

and i was going to clean it today, but i just couldn't be arsed, lost enthusiasm right now really.
