well as karma goes i'd say im pretty lucky.

ok, i decided today would be the day of all days to go crimbo shopping, now my gf specifically asked for some pink 6x9's and i had found the perfect ones in nottingham, so me and her set off to go and have a look and buy them, 10 min's into the journey crossed a round about doing about 35 in the si and as i hit the dual carriageway went to put it in 3rd when i hear a snap under neath my clutch foot, quick reactions saved me next, i slammed the hazards on while a mini almost ploughed into me at speed, managed to quickly pull it into the side of the carriage way and allowed her to pass, The main problem i have is the guy who towed me reckons it's my clutch, but i don't belive it could be this as the car was still idlein at 900-1000 as i pulled in, the pedal is fully to the floor and wont budge so i'm guessing its the cable ? if so any one got any diagrams or info about how i can replace it ?. thanks in advance.

missing the page on the clutch cable so still need help please.

its pretty easy to do, just need to jack the car up, take the old cable out, which runs along the bulk head and towards the gearbox and the remove it off the pedal

then feed your new cable through the bulkhead and connect it to the pedal and feed it along the bulk head and then connect it to the gearbox

right got the cable today, but it doesnt reach, what i mean is i can connect it to the pedal but it wont reach to the gearbox and vice versa, the clutch arm is fully extended towards the bonnet if this means anything, i belive wrong cable what you guys think ?

do you have a manual or automatic clutch adjustment, ie, is there a white knob on you clutch pedal? if so loosen that, might help you.

as said do you have a man or auto adusting clutch peddle?

man will have a lil white screw bit on the peddle and auto will have nothing, most si's that i no of are man!

if you have the white screw unscrew it about 5 turns and then push it in with your thum, if it doesnt go in with your thum then tap it with a hammer this will realease the rachet allowing you to attach to cable to the gearbox arm

once you have done this tighten the screw right up again and then loosen it off again (but dont push it in like you did with realseing the rachet) and pull the peddle up so its basicly justbelow the hight of the brake peddle then tighten the screw back up, test to see if you can select all gears easyly when driveing, if not then loosen the screw off again and pull the peddle up 1 click and try again(reapeat this untill the peddle feels right and all gears work) if the clutch is slipping then reapeat the adjusting process again
