i can understand what the lad is talking about, basicly it could be quite interesting, the same as people painting and flocking dashes, you would want the doorcards to match, iv seen people have diamond white dashes in fiestas with white doorcards and it looks really nice!
but anyway what i would say to you elliot is that you would proberly get a better finish if you actually went to an arts and crafts shop and buy the fabric/vinyl in the colour you want the door card and then neatly glue the new colour fabric or vinyl along the orgional seems of the door cards so it looks factory fit
iv been thinking about makeing the interia of mine look abit more classy rather than plasticy and been toying with the idea of stiched leather doorcards and armrests and then either flocking or doing the top half of the dash in stiched black leather with white thread and the the centre consol part with the radio and heater pannel in coverd in flock
