Hey just a bit of advice i need before i proceed. on redtop pistons i have been told if you put Vauxhall Redtop pistons in to a 2.0 16v phase 1 mondeo engine you have to have it bored out first to make them fit but the redtop 2.0 pistons are bigger than fords 2.0 pistons and the redtop piston make a ford 2.0 into a 2.1 is this true and does it improve power

It's not 2.1 but you do have to have it overbored. I think it comes out at 2040cc or something. This alone wouldn't give power, in fact if you put C20LET pistons in an NA Zetec you'll lose power as it'll drop the compression! I presume you're talking about a turbocharged application..?

as scott said about the bore machining, but i think some mods need doing to the pistons also

they are good for ZT, but just spend 500 on proper ones and have proper power IMO

if your gonna half arse it might as well decomp plate it for 200bhp safely
