get a decat made up for it, will cost you the same price or less than a new cat which you will end up buying or borrowing from someone else come mot time.

You're cat probably provides you with plenty of back pressure, taking it off a 1.4 will probably reduce your bottom end torque, but you top end might increase?
plsu smashing it in might cause a blockage if you dont get all the bits out, then you're in trouble :P
