Does my ford fiesta SI 1.4 8v cvh have ABS? (anti lock brakes) cheers. :-)

only sum Sis have abs i think mate! i know my 1.4 hasnt.

1 way to find out is to slam the brakes on in a safe area, you`ll know if u havent got it, as u will slide a bit lol. if u have got it though u shud feel the pedal bounce up and down under your foot.

Look at the top of your gearbox. There will be a moldule on it with belts going to the driveshafts. It was a crude ABS system anyway. Best without IMO as when they cock up they turn you into a ditchfinder


Oh and des... my RS1800 had ABS standard and it didnt have them extra pipes. It actually had only 2 pipes coming from the brake servo instead of 4 :)

The 2 then went to the abs system and from there..
