the garage say's my bro's 206 needsa a new clutch and 'box, they quoted £500 but im not sure if that was fitted or just suppliyng (i would think fitted), how hard is it to do? im pretty sure i could pick up a 'box and clutch cheap enough

ps its not a gti or anything just a 1.3 (i think)

I'm sure if youve done your fiesta yourself you could manage the 206 gearbox change.. I guess its just like any other car :)

I'd rather get a gearbox from scrapyard, and fit a new clutch, saving a good 350 quid!

I should expect for 500 they are fitting it.. should bloody hope so :shock:

gona have a look at it on sat. never seem inside the engine bay of a 206 but wouldnt imagine it'd be that complicated..................................................................famous last words :lolz:

its probably a 1.4 ohc pretty nippy tho pretty sure they didn't do a 1.3 for the 206

Presuming its a 1.4 TU and a MA Gearbox, then it will be the same principle as the 106, took me 1 1/2 - 2 hours to take the box and clutch off and about the same again to fit, if your good with your tools then it should be no problem. Nothing jumps out from memory that should cause you any problems! :)
