Well this morning my neighbor leaned out the window and was not to happy :rolleyes:

(well it was 6 30am :halo:

)

Said he was trying to sleep,

i was like thats great i'm trying to see

he was like drive up the road and de-ice your car

I was like i can't reverrse past your car and my mums with iced up rear windows :doh:

he shut the window :lol:

I think my car is getting to my neighbours :halo:

More good news: Bodywork is booked for monday

(front arches getting repainted, front valance getting done and the bonnet will see a bit of action

for Â£100ish

)

I'm liking the good news count atm :red:

Also watching a new 4 branch manifold, but i may get an efi manifold with silencer to keep it down :frown:

But i may do the un-thinkable soon, once its all minted up :cry:

i'm not sure :doh:

well its 87db on idle, its far to loud :rolleyes:

And as i am warming my car up at 6 30am, i can see myself getting a slap on the wrist soon. My mate had the same problem with his astra, and it got to a point where he was threatened with court action and had to make a film of before and after as proof it had been changed. I dont want that.....

The manifold is blowing, so its doing bugger all :lol:

so i am getting the gasket changed and either a standard rear box or centre or both fitted, tbh, it is annoying on a journey

and if i change the exhaust back it will be near enough standard, bar the seats and manifold

edit:- is 87db really loud then?

yeah i have a DB meter on my phone, and when i'm at the drivers door and record, its 87 DB :lol:

you shouldn't have more then 98-102DB on the road while moving!

To be honest, on a journey coupled with short gearing it gets annoying :cry:

i might just get a standard centre section and see what its like 8-)

Either way, changes will be occuring :cry:

just had a phone call, the council have let me know they have had a complaint about my car and they wern't threatening me just informing me if it carries on that i could face a investigation :cry:

fecking neighbours :rolleyes:

So my kwik fit manager friend has got me a centre section with 2 silencers :lol:

for Â£47 trade price plus he will fit a manifold gasket

Its got a cheery bomb silencer and backbox and thats it, otherwise straighthrough :doh:

but thats getting rectified to try and make it quieter later on

Well my pickup exhaust is stupidly loud. Ashley 4-2-1 straight back to a 4" magnex backbox!
Not sure how loud but im sure it pissed people off. But the fact of the matter is... I don't give a toss! And the police havent said anything. So bollocks to them. Although track days are gonna be a problem I think.

i could understand if you were running it on idal late at nite for ages, but not in the mornings, most people get up for work at around 6.30-7! ah well best be on the safe side not to get a trouble for it :thumbsup:

i have to agree tho that with a loud exhaust it does get abit annoying on motoways going at a constant speed :doh:

I love mine, it isnt too bad now with the derv box being lower ratiom on motorway, although it is annoying at time.. But we have refused to change this exhaust ever again now as its a ballache and all welded up :doh:

well when i was at silverstone, there was a bike trackday on, and the limit was 102db anything over = black flag

but gee talk about kick you while your down :rolleyes:

un-named "mates" have been having a go at me over the exhaust and me wanting to change it back to a normal one :rolleyes:

i thought it was my car ...................................
