Payday Friday Proposed Plans

On the look out for 2 window winders as i broke one of mine

Manifold blow is getting quite bad now, i think that a new gasket is a priority now, its annoying

(may just get an ashley manifold as that would be new and less hassle with blows i hope)

Should be getting front arches done (paints come off), bonnet and front valance repainted, and hopefully a touch up on the back of the roof where the paint has come off

Still want a cam

Wiper blades are shot so need replacing (have been for 3 months now!)

Service time soon as well (hoping rob can nick me some castrol from his work ) as it was done at 92500, and its just passed 98000!

Rear wiper has stopped working so needs investigating (or removing )

Rear lights have a slight christmas tree effect going on while indicating with the lights on, so that will need looking at aswell

By the looks of things, the cams going to take a back bench role for now, seems more like a TLC month!

Found a set of alloys i want, but they are 305 miles away so thats going to be not done! (15" softline 7 spoke alloys) (why can't anything be local?)

so a few little niggles, which is a first for the car really, had to happen at some point, being 22 in january! (the car not me )

Although at lunch i was moving a wire in the plug for the rear lights and it stopped doing it, but it goes loose and goes back to it so i'm assuming its this wire

A 106 Gti (driven by a chav i may add: lexus lights ) started on me at the lights on the way to mcds at lunchtime, i was like and left him to it, and he razzed off and i was like ooh you made a massive point there

so out of all i want to do, the main things for this month must be:

1: The bits of bodywork, i just fret about rust
2: Service
3: Wiper Blades (long time in waiting)
4: Lighting issues
5: Rear Wiper Issue

Plus keep it clean more in this weather, remove the road crap off it

i had the same thing with a BMW on friday night, was at the traffic lights he came up next to me, big i am in my beamer as i cant launch for shit i tootled off the line slow as you like miss daisy stylee and he just shot off , i stalled it moments later at another set of traffic lights.......i'm blaming the slow failure of my clutch cable

yeah i need to find out when mine was last serviced

got some good plans lined up though

Bodywork should be in a week or so as i have the first week of november off

Going to sacrifice the money i had saved for a cam for the bodywork.

Rob reckons it will look patchy but most of it you won't see, and the bonnet is chipped up and most the work is going on under it And i need the arches done as ford exposed metal is a sure runner for rust

I would like a uprated oil pump to stop the "tap tap tap tap" but thats a sump off job

yeah

it is on a fixed timescale, you cant turn it off yourself, it goes off when its done (in its eyes )

But a free fix is a good fix in my book

I dont have any heated screens in the pickup so im okay

After 6000miles, the cvh has not used a drop of oil

checked it at lunch after i drove to the pub and back and its still on max
