the really thing atm is i ragged it on the bypass today and it limits out at 7,000rpm at 105mph! the xr2i gearbox is defo going and either a rst gearbox or diesel box is goin in! on the other hand the acceleration is beaut!

Get the LSD RS gearbox on it, or at least an RS box of some kind

yer it was on 4psi now its at 8psi! i can feel it i may save up for a erst box with lsd! but ide like a diesel box for the top end!

iirc the top end on a S2 box is pretty much the same as a diesel box

worth all the effort and money?

i put it on 10psi today and it was overboosting and cutting it so im guna have to get the chip soon with beiges and a front mount! or i may keep it sleeperish and get a black series double cap intercooler! but in all i think its worth the money but if i knew how much agro i was guna have i would have gone down the 2litre throttle boddie route tbh! but no time to live in regrets! hopefully ill see 130bhp at the rollers!

yes mate that would be me since seeing you i have taken the passenger seat out removed all the sound deadning under the dash and sprayed the passenger footwell hopefully il get a chance to do the drivers side 2moz!

recently fitted my mondeo steelies with my bbs tyres 195/45/15!

before respray!

and after using paint at work which is chassis super gloss black (like hammerite) i pay £1.80 a can !

what gearbox would be best then for an frst conversion, 195chip, beiges, cossy pump, t3.

something tells me the standard 1.4 box wouldnt be up to the job, lol

frst box is fine i'd say

but an S2 box would be better

An uprated BC box like RS BAZ has would be good.

Ignore all rumours, a diesel box is no stronger, just has a longer 5th gear
