Okay 12th May I'm coming back from college, stopped at lights and some tw*t runs into the back of me, he get's out ( still talking on his mobile )says "sorry mate, it's my fault" so exchanging details he refuses to give me his insurance company so I ring the police, they're not intrested in coming out, but do tell me he's insured, ok not a problem, told tw*tman I'm going to get some quotes and be in touch. Cut to today and I am having no luck in getting anything from him,I've sent letters and he refuses to come to the phone when I call. The police dont want to know and my insurance company is only intrested if it's him making a claim against me, so any advice (other than wreak vengence on his car) would be appreciated.

as stated on ft.com, just ask your insurance for a claim form, fill out what you know about the other driver and the contact details you have, and get them to do the running. if it aint your fault it wont affect your no claims
