Last night we went to pick up a new addition - a Boa Constrictor! :D

She's only a baby at the mo, but she's so strong. She'll grow to about 7-10ft and weigh around 27kg's when fully grown! Just thought I'd share anyway! I know not everyone's cup of tea, but hey ho! :lol:

So that's now a collection of:

2 Royal Pythons (male and female for breeding in a couple of years)
1 Bearded Dragon
1 Water Dragon
1 Savannah monitor
1 Boa Constrictor

More to come soon no doubt :D

It's when they were sexed, all the females get dotted so they can be identified afterwards without stressing the snake! :)

She's a stunner though, really alert and active, gorgeous pattern, and a healthy size :D

Snakes get fed once a week, all different sizes now though! :lol:

Loads of crickets, locusts, mealworms, waxworms etc. It's not cheap, but we buy in bulk online now so it's a lot cheaper than a petshop is! :)

When we're holding them, they squeeze as a matter of course to get grip, so you can feel their strength. For the size of them, you would not beleive how strong they actually are! Wait until she's 10ft :lol:

It's just a matter of taming them to be used to human contact and that you aren't there to hurt them, and they're soft as anything! The royals are a bit dippy, but very friendly :)

Nah, honestly, they are the softest animals! You really wouldn't believe the things they do, they way they are, the characteristics they have. It's quite weird actually, I never thought they could be so diverse! Every snake we have, when you get them out and hold them, they'll come up to your face and have a sniff about then bugger off, it's like them saying hello! :lol:

Except the monitor lizard, he's a bit of a mental one. :lol:
