Has anyone done one before or currently have one?

I have just renewed my insurance and i am going to try to get an agreed value certificate so i am not out of pocket if the worst happens but i am unsure as to what to say ' i value my car at '

I have it down as £2500 (some of you may think wtf), does this sound unreasonable considering what has been done to my Si?

I'd say about 2 /2.5k sounds about right to me for what's been done. it'll start becoming worth more in a few years if it's kept in tip top shape too.

well if you look at how much it would cost you if you had to replace it like for like.. Thatd be a good starting point as the sale value of your car is probably considerably less :frown:

yeah after some searching i saw HIC did one, i remember seeing that the RSOC did one, so i'll have to hunt about for some more info i think!

i have a folder loaded with reciepts too! :lol:

an agreed valuation is worth it imo :thumbsup:

Do you need receipts for stuff done to get a valuation??

I want to value the Pickup.. not because its cost lots, but the amount of work put into it; and don't wanna get ripped off if the worst was to happen to it :doh:

there has been mention of pic's of reciepts for work carried out or reciepts for parts replaced etc., but i'm not sure what/if other companies require as they all seem to do it differently or require different info :hmm:

Hmmm I shall look into it when I renew in January.. if its the case of pictures of the work carried out on it then I have plenty, and then plenty of the car looking sh*t hot 8-)

Or I may just wait till the bodywork next year when its changing colour :hsugh:

You will be required to supply several photographs and receipts of parts and labour costs for the work that has been carried out on your vehicle.

Upon receipt of your Valuation Application, we will review the information that you have supplied and if agreeable issue you with an Agreed Valuation Certificate.

I know a friend of mine who has a RS2000 had to get someone to do the valuation for that and i think that was with the RSOC but the one above that i am doing, you just provide your own pictures and receipts.

jono do you know if the HIC valuation is only for people who have thier insurance with them or is it for anyone wanting an aggreed valuation certif.?

pic's wont be an issue nor will reciepts :red: :lol:

just been talking to me mate who has the RS2000 and he says it maybe worth checking with yer insurance that they will acknowledge any kind of valuation you get done.
if they do the RSOC should be able to sort it for you
