well saturday was a very sad day for me, i washed the
car friday night and made it all clean (well kinda) ready
to go away for the winter time.
cant keep it on my own drive cz my parents have
enough cars of their own that dont get driven so the
missus's mum has kindly allowded me to keep it at theirs.
and my dad dontated one of his full drive in an zip up car
covers that he keeps his cadilacs in so that should keep
it in reasonable nick whilst the winter months are apon us.
so here she is

and here is the winter runner!
1.6 fiesta si, bought it for £60 with a warped head and put
the 1800 zetec in it that was left over after i put the rs lump
in the escort; its had the rear arches fiberglassed and the
bodywork was quite tatty so i went for the cheap rat look
and sprayed it matt black (ok my mates gary and john
sprayed 99% of it matt black whilst i stood around making a mess )
turned out quite good i thought, roof needs doing again as its a bit
streaky but will get round to it in due time.
flew through mot only needing a sidelight bulb, then broke down
outside the mot station but was due to bad earth on EDIS module
so all is sorted now and have been driving it all of today! quite slow
compared to the escort but is still nice to drive, but i still miss the
escort like ive lost my right hand

ps. this will eventually be the s2rs pace car so watch this space
need to bring it round to my mate mat for some graphics to be designed
and made.
but then im not sure if i should go through the bother as im only looking
to keep the car till the spring and then want to sell it as il have the escort
back out and want to buy a p100 to do up so if anyones got a p100 and
fancie a swap let me know! :( :(

isnt an RS im afraid, more of a strange hybrid that i seem to have created but thank you for saying it was nice :)
the si is growing on my in a big way though, has caught me out a few times round corners as with the weight of the I4 lump in the escort the whole car tends to slide round a corner and so you adjust your driving to suite but the fiesta take the corner tighter and then a bit too tight! lol

the cover itself is waterproof the only weak point being the zip but my dad and i always cover the zip n duct tape then suck most of the air out with a vacume cleaner and it seems to stay quite tight on the cars, we also put backing soda in lil trays underneath as it absorbs moisture. saying that though the caddies have been in storage for over 10 years now in a barn and look pretty mint everytimne we see em!
mind you if you saw a white one of these looking at you under a cover youd think it was mint especially with the two 2 door ones being 22ft long!

please note this is not our car (ours is nicer!! lol)
