i am doing the exact same thing tomorrow, im sick of worrying about my sat nav running flat as its only got a 2 hour charge life which is shite, i should think that is fine but there are cheaper ones on flea bay, have a look in your local motor factors!!

Would be alot easier getting a fiesta one from a scrapyard (and cheaper.. eg. pocket).. im sure the wiring is there.. if not then just cut some of the wiring off and wire it to a 12v source :)

I think the Popular didn't come with one. Nor did it come with a glovebox :hsugh: I think these were saved for the executive Popular Plus.

ah well i give up for now, had all the glovebox out, ashtray out, the only feed anywhere in that area is the radio and ive been told not to use that as its not a strong enough feed, just spoke to my bro in law who is a vauxhall mechanic and he said to use the rear wiper motor live so i now gotta try and trace that back from the fuse box

There are plenty of lives to use. I dont see the live to the sterio isnt strong enough??

The wiring to the standard cig lighter socket is only tiny wiring so clearly doesnt need a really strong feed compared to the likes of an amp with thicker wire etc

I'd take it off the sterio feed, then if you wanted; could even make it only work when the ignition is turned on
