Still waiting on my gear gaitor and rear seatbelt pads, but hopefully they turn up soon

Kirsty has agreed, i think , to save money to go on holiday when its warmer next year, rather then a weekend in cold weather at this time of year (i'll double check as that affects my plans! )

A few car park dings have appeared so i will add that to my bodyshop list, and in stages i will get the rear valance and front valance done, bonnet and boot, and the roof touched in so it don't rot, as well as a bumper respray and the front arches done, as the paint has come off

A cam is still on my wishlist, and we will see how things go, as it is not a real necessity, just things are getting a bit tappy, due to worn cam and tappets and i will need a new cambelt when this happens

Performance wise, i have come to a bit of a crossroads, as i am well and truly used to the 105bhp of the xr3i and these days, it is not quick, i know that. But i also know that an rs turbo is not in reach yet, maybe i just miss driving fast . Hopefully a cam will keep me entertained, but the image of the car and reception it gets does make up for the lack of oomph

A recaro base is also going to be required, as the passenger seat is busted on the base, so i will look into that as the wood under it can be felt (sorted! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... IBSA:UK:31 )

My recaro seat pan repair thingy which i got on ebay yesterday has turned up already!

My Seat belt pad jobs (admittedly won't be to everyones taste) have also turned up.

Slowly but surely they are (just waiting on my gear gaitor now!)

Last night i had 115(kph) which is only 3 off the origina quoted top speed from 21 years ago of 118(kph)

I keep getting my mind changed by different ideas all the time

I know its a good shell, pretty much mint and it would be a shame to go mad, but then again finding a shell in pretty much mint condition is rare

And a cam may happen sooner then you think as pay day is in 2 weeks and 3 days, and did alot of overtime last month

Xr3i Pads





Should be fitting the recaro seat repair tonight, and imo the xr3i pads look alright.

Couple of old car probs tho!

Firstly, looks like 12volts isn't reaching the heated rear screen as it takes an age to work, and coupled with the fact it has air getting in somewhere and the rear screen is steaming up very easily in the cold weather, i can't see out the back alot of the time!

And yeah things are coming in regulary, and i sold one of the spoilers for £45 so my outlay this month has been equalled

And even if no-one is in it it steams up

Looks like it, need to investigate the screen or i might need a new heated rear screen and seal

hopefully it can be an easy fix, but once its sorted heated font screen FTW!

Had the tracking checked, spot on

The manifold was blowwing and thats been pasted up, but its got a slight blow atthe manifold gasket, but nothing major

And yeah its clean, no welding! Just a spot of surface rust on the passenger side sill where the waxoyl has come off, it doesn;t need a waxoyl yet, just that patch! Impressed and happy aren't the words

Updates will be continuing, as the recaro seat base needs fitting, new gear gaitor, and possibly some bodywork next month (front arches, valance and bonnet )
