my si has developed a whine recently and i was putting it down to a poorly water pump, but i have noticed the the steering is really jerly, sand it pulls to the kerb. to yoyu think its the PAS pump? if it is im putting a non PAS rack on, is it just the rack i need or the rack and collom

stupid question but have you checked p/s fluid?

Jerky steering and pulling to one side is probably wishbones.

If you change to no powersteering you have to change column as well.

i didnt think it was the wishbones as i have replaced them already, but saying that there is a knock on the front drivers side that i put down to the coilovers, As the spring on the coilover seem'd loose. im going to have to have a good look when i pull the engine out to fit the 2.0, which shouldnt be very long, just collecting parts atm.
