This might be related to my gearbox problem that i have posted up in another thread called 'gearbox problem. big problem. help' or something like that. Ill see what you think.
Basically coming home from college yesterday i noticed the steering was a bit tough (i have power steering and the pump and belts are fine) anyway, when you turn and let go of the steering wheel, instead of smoothly going back to centre, it snaps back (i will put a couple of vids up so u can see what i mean) and then while driving i heard a click, and it was fine, then 5mins later went tough again. It keeps coming and going. When stationary, its fine to turn, seems only to be when going along.
Then, i tested it again later on, and while i was coming out of my road, i turned and had a bit of power, and the car started juddering. It does it at every bend.. even more on tighter ones, and roundabouts. The car kinda kangaroo jumps if you know what i mean, like when learners sometimes set off, the car bounces all over the place lol, except its not violent like learners, its like its skipping a tooth or something if you know what i mean.
But it only happens when there is power going to the wheels around a bend.
So, i was thinking it could be the diff thats causing the problem as my gearbox is kinda fooked, if it is that, then ill see if it gets sorted when i get the gearbox next week sometime.
Any other thoughts?
Here is a couple of vids of the wheel snapping back into place. You will see it a couple of times in each vid. Not the best of vids, but you can kinda see what i mean.
Ill try get a vid of the road wheels juddering while pushing the car or something.
Please mind the squeeky chair noise
