My engine is a 1.3 single point injection HCS engine with a 5 speed manual gearbox, and i need to change the gearbox because mine is fooked.

Couple of questions...

Is the 1.1 5 speed gearbox the same as a 1.3 5 speed gearbox? All same ratio's ect ect. Even if it was carbed not fuel injection.

Also would an SI gearbox fit on the engine or not? If it did do, would it increase speed in each gear, increase acceleration, or decrease?

as Matt said above. you'll find most ford g/boxes will fit the engine.
you want one out of a mk3 fiesta or mk3/4 escort. or you could fit the mt75 but that means new shafts etc

Also, if i was to get a new gearbox - say from an si. I would need a new clutch for it because of the input shaft wouldnt i?

Ive just got a new clutch on my car and its 190mm diameter. I presume the si input shaft would be too big to fit in the middle bit of the clutch on there?

Also, as said before, would each gear speed be different, ie. more spead in each gear? If i was to fit the si box that is.
