thanks phil, yup i am, such a difference from the 1.6, was well worth doing! as for the raisers, for a 10min diy job i dont think there too bad either 8-)

use some stainless piping and get the filter down to the fog light hole?


or if not drill a seperate hole...use a land rover discovery fog light surround and use that :p

yeah im still not sure what i want to do about the relocation of the airfilter, i dont really want to lose the fogs and i dont ant to cut a hole in the bumper lol i have been toying with the idea of fitting a small vent into the side of the bumper and running a feed from there :)

What size bolts are they for the bonnet? Im making some bonnet raisers tomorrow out of my inch box section, due to overheating derv engine :rolleyes: :lol:

thanks! bet it reminds you a lil bit of your old 5door ghia!

i used some 20mm thick box section from b&q, i think i got 50mm bolts from b&q aswell and cut them down to 30mm as they had no 30mm bolt in stock lol but i just took my old bonnet bolts with me found a bolt that fitted my original bolts to make sure i got the right thread bolts from b&q, if that makes any sence :lol:

i have to agree i have notice a big difference with cooling after doing this :)

yeah i think they look alright, alot of people say they do bugger all and cause more turbilance in the engine bay which causes the cooling system not to work properly or somethin :? iv found they work pretty well! staying alot cooler now :)

nope mine is solid :? no movement in it attal! but the way i have done mine is i have used 2 box sections on each hinge and put them either side of the bolts so its a more sterdy and bigger suraface for the bonnet to sit on ;) also ment no drilling the box sections lol you can kinda see how i have done it in the close up pic i have.
