it turned out to be the injector rubber seal, it had near enough completely perished and was chucking in shed loads of fuel!

the other 3 were slightly perished, jamie replaced them and she's running spot on now :thumbsup:

did he get them from fraud? got a part number?
thinking of changing mine, got a 'new' throttle body and 'new' maf sensor off of a very low, ie 0 mile engine to fit on mine so might change them seals while i'm at it

im afraid i didnt, i just used the old seals of 1.6 injectors, have a check on the parts list in the tech problems forum ;) may be in there
