mmm supose, i wud love 2 have an xr2i engine thou, the Si is so slow, and sluggish picking in 3rd and forth, its k if u keep booting it throu the gears, but i havent really given it all that much yet as i still got L plates lol, wudnt mind 110 bhp thou!!

hmmmm i got deal of the year today! picked up the engine to find out it had a full t3 conversion with intercooler and dump valve! i got the lot consisting of engine, t3 turbo with air filter, uprated intercooler, uprated actulator and adjustable boost controller, rad, full exhaust system including t3 downpipe and straight through system, all hoses, ofac ecu, gearbox, clutch, all for the amazing price of £220! im using the loom in my xr2i and a couple of other little bits! so should be fun on monday! carnt wait all i need to complete the conversion is a ofac map sensor and im rolling!

well i duno if any of you have heard about the serious car crash that killed 6 when they went into a lorry head on in melton but one of the passengers in the car was the lad who sold me the engine! but on a positive note the engines being fitted at jp tuning and hopefully shud be done for the weekend!

cheers dude much apprciated im special ordering a car bra for the bonnet which i think will make or break the car and im also getting my alloys refurbed in a shinny silver! i managed to also get this weekend an rs turbo ofab ecu, all sensors and loom in very good condition and ive got a rs turbo rad coming on tuesday so theyl be going straight up2 jp tuning! on a bad note thou jay started my engine up and number 3 cylinder is misfiring reading 90 on a compression test! so hopefully its a sticking valve cos its been left a while or worst case a bent valve! but fingers crossed its sticking!

well a little update the 1.8 bottom ends gone to the spealist to have the crank sensor, dipstick and oil feeds drilled in and fitted! then all thats left is to fit the bottom end any away i go! the only bummer really is that its costing me £300 for the spealist to do his thing and thats off the books!!! but i suppose it will be worth it when its done! i shal update hopefully ina week with pics of it all up and running!

what power you aiming for?

yer got her running and about 5mins later found out that the head gasket had gone! took the head apart and found that the piston rings were worn and number 2 piston was lower than the rest so could of been a bent conrod!? so i picked up this sierra lump which has been converted to low comp and with it being cvh it comes nearly straight on all thats left really is the crank sensor, oil pipes and dipstick and its done! im hoping for about 160 bhp! that would be a nice! then im planning on getting beiges and a 195 chip!

reconsiderd and i have purchaused today at burton power a full bottom end rebuild! so it should be running ok on the 1.6! so will defo have it on the rollers! ill put the boost on 12psi! then when i uprate the intercooler, beiges and chip ill take it further!

started stripping it down to find that one of the shells had spun round and scored the crank so more set backs!!! but i picked up a frst lump from birmingham last nite for £80 so im taking the crank out and keeping the rest for spares! hopefully should now have it done for the weekend! also ive bourght a wiper bung and ariel bung to tidy unessary's and a nice rear decal/sticker is on its way from dmb!
