Right, I can tell you, that so long as we abide to certain conditions, i.e not each taking a car (petrol/eurotunnel/motorway tolls and parking, which would have to be done in a local town or summit ) I can get denominations of 6 of you, down to the French riviera, stay for a week and a half before heading back, for under £200 per person.....thats for the mobile home accomodation, fuel for the trip, eurotunnel!

What that doesn't include is, motorway tolls (been a while since i've done the route and can't recall) Food and days out etc once there.

If people are after a cheap holiday, then I can sort this out. If you all want to drive, then this isn't for you.

Here is the place im puting forward to you good people, been there on 3 occations for 3weeks each time. Lovely place: quiet, with numerous beautiful beaches about 3 miles away. Massive supermarket local, and europes largest waterpark before you get to the town.

Matt, the ideal situation would be to get 3 in each car.....diesel would be preferable, but not necessary.

So long as there are only 2 cars between 6 then it can and shall be done at £200 a pop.

Anymore, and cheap holiday will be not so cheap.

Remember each car alone will suffer the £70+ tunnel cost.
Each diesel car should cost around £225 in fuel, while a Petrol should cost over £300, hense my desire to fill 'em up with people!!

Parking: the maximum amount or parking per plot, is 2. Not sure what the main gate will be like, or if you'd be allowed to park there! Other options would be the narrow country lanes (...you think us Brits are shit drivers... ), or one of the local towns (...I know I wouldn't want to, but your call)

what about a ferry woodsy.

cheaper than the tunnel and would shorten the driving distance alittle

1) Ferrys smell of vomit due to sea sick occupants.
2) Cost is marginal - £10 at times...and thats on your cheapy cheapy seafrance, nothing like the seacat!
3) Ferry takes twice as long.
4) Less driving - ports are on the coast Folkstone is a good few miles inland

loading people up in cars to save on fuel costs etc FTW!

but if the driving was to be shared then the relevant paper work etc needs to be sorted(except for alex as he can drive anything)

only thing we have to look into is if people share a car how will they get to the person they are sharing with and where would the cars(if they come in them) be parked etc

If others are going to be taking there cars, i think it should be a "pay by car" basis.

im in. im not fussy about taking my car but ill share the driving as/when/if required.

whos insurance covers them for driving abroad, and other peoples cars abroad ?


my insurace covers me abroad, but unsure about other cars abroad. as my traders policy does cover trade in other countries
