The timing gear for the 0-60 at york dragstrip was a radar gun (according to the website, although never actually saw the setup). I got a 6.8, and a couple of 6.9's. And my best quarter mile was a 15.2 although I reckon someone better at launching could knock a tenth or two off. I was the 3rd fastest 106 out of at least 20, and 8th fastest pug out of more than 50. Not bad for a decat, puma k&n, and some strippage.

You're right about the going for a blast down some twisties, the gti handles awesome, I think I run out of balls before it runs out of grip now it has decent tyres on.

my 0-60 depends on if i have the old dear with the shopping in the car, or the wife. it may be slower, but the thrills of an orange drinks carton possibly hitting your face when braking makes it all the more exciting.
