I take it the engine will be slighlty more responsive?

will it cause it to idle really lumpy?

i've had a look around and the general feel is that the average cam can add up to 12bhp and the more serious cams require headwork which i will look to avoid :lol:

i currently have a Janspeed 4 branch manifold, k+n panel filter and an Ashley Exhaust system :)

will give you a decent gain. 12bhp maybe abit exaggerated, but with the mods you've got done i dont see why you wouldn't get a good gain...
regardless of the cam, it will be lumpy. my fast road cams for my zetec sounds like a bag of spanners in the morning :lolz:

i'm looking to avoid going turbo route as it may be more hassle having an Rs turbo

lupmy idling will cheer my neighbours up :lol: :halo:

ive got a tuned 1600CVH in a kitcar. What kent cam are you looking to get ive fitted a CVH22 which is quite mild, are you running a lean burn head or the early one? you really need to look at ported head to get the most out of the cam though. ive also fitted ZX6 motorbike carbs which work well :) can provide info if required.

i've got a mfi cvh lump not the "hemi" efi lump

and on readingthe puma article, a cvh 22 kent cam is the best bet as it retains driveability 8-)
