Im after some mahoosive brakes 4 my car, and was just wondering which ones will fit, and if there is anything you need 2 do to fit them. and also which ones do u find are the best.

can i ask why your're after mahoosive brakes? Surely size is not thats all important with brakes?

Size is fairly important when it comes to brakes however its not the only area in which an improvement can be made.

I would recommend ST150 calipers and disks. Youre probably looking at about Â£100 for a very low mileage 2nd hand pair. There is a fitment guide for these on the site, but its fairly straightforward as they require no modification to fit. Also replacement discs and pads arent too pricey as they arent high performance parts.

Purely by going from 240mm to 278mm discs and calipers, i noticed a huge improvement in braking capability as not only is the contact area between the caliper and the disc much larger, but there is also a larger moment, (Force x perpendicular distance = turning force)

If you register of the Fiesta ST owners club, theyre pretty easy to get hold of, just put a post up in the wanted section and you should get 4 or 5 offers, from the Fiesta ST people that are doing 300mm upgrades etc

cossie 4x4 ones bolt straight on, but you need to space them out 5mm, i'll find a link to a guide so you can see what i mean :thumbsup:

** iirc both require a min wheel size of 15", i know for cossie brakes 15" is a min, and i'm pretty sure its the same for the ST150 brakes **

both are pretty straight forward
