Hey, ive had an idea to make life easier for myself.. well im just lazy lol. But, i got myself a pair of boot struts from a mk3 fiesta and was wondering if its possible to somehow put them on the inside of the bonnet so when you open the bonnet, it stays up like the boot does.

I think i have seen it done somewhere before, but not sure. If anyone could give me some instuctions and maybe some pics, would be great.

I would go buy some new ones off the internet, but i havent got the money to spend as im a bit skint! lol. Plus i cant find any :( So its a DIY job! :D :lol:

I doubt it would be too hard to use them.

bolt them onto somewhere on the bonnet and bolt onto the wing inside the engine bay

i know my boot ones struggle with the shelf and speakers. its either completely open or shut, nothing in between

get 2 mk3 struts.

the mk3 ones only had one on the boot lid compared to the tiny 2 used on mk3.5s

I put 2 mk3 ones in the RS and the boot lid flies up and you gotta put all your weight on it to close it :lol:

from a safety point of veiw i would only fit these if i had bonnet pins, no better a way to crash cz your bonnet flies up and ford bonnet catches arent exactly the best.
