Hi could anyone tell me if removing the middle box from my exhaust system would cause any problems. Some people have said it would be fine and others not to sure.

Only want to do it as I just bought a new performance back box but I would like it to sound a bit louder.

Any advice would be great.

best bet is a de-cat pipe, although this wont pass a mot (i dont think). will sound a lot better, and will free up some power in most cases.

I'd fully recommend removing the mid box.

Retaining the cat is very advantagous for torque as well as being far easier on the mind come MOT day.

Binning the mid box improves the balance no end IMO, and TBH im not sure why more people don't go down this avenue :?

I'd bin them over cat for peace of mind, any day of the week!!


Edit: far less intrusive sound aswell ;)
