As the RS1800 is off the road, and will be back for FITP09 (I hope) as the 1.8 ZT

I need to figure out what I want doing inside-wise.

As its going to be 200ish bhp, do I keep the interior and have it looking nice, as it does look good with full interior

OR

Strip seats, remove carpets, sound deadening, roof lining, cut bits of metal off which I dont need etc, spray it all inside to look decent and eventually have buckets and cage

I am half and half with both ideas as I like having both :rolleyes:
No half attempts, its either full strippage or full interior, non of this half ared effort with removing back seats only!

One major thing is, I seem to want a cage due to the extra power, as I am likely to bin it :lol:

Have made a poll. Also any comments, and pictures to get me to decide ;)

hmmmmm, i read the thread and was about to vote for keep interior......but the idea of a cage and such seems nice

how many people do you have in the car most of the time?

Yeah I have been looking at some other cars that have been stripped out and painted up inside to cover up the mess after removing the sound deadening.

I will be stripping it all out, eventually fitting buckets and cage, but they are last on the list.

Keeping electric mirrors and windows, as Jam has recently said to me.. if your strapped into the seat its abit hard to open windows and adjust mirrors, specially the passenger side ones ;)

But I will be gutting the bumper foam to recover some more weight.

Thinking of making some door cars and rear panel covers from some sheet metal and painting up, as I would prefer something covering the holes :)

This is far away from being done yet due to rushing my project for Ford Fair :look:

edit: I will also not cut anything off which stops me from putting everything back into the car, not that I will plan on selling it, as I doubt I ever will :lol:

And also half tempted to leave the top layer of carpet in as it will be a daily drive once its done :red:
