So my engine is a DOHC, not a zetec. Does that mean i'm f**ked mod wise? everything on here and pretty much everything on the net is all about zetecs. anyone got any ideas of what i can do cheaply and easily for a bit more power?

if yours is a 1.6 Si then it will be a zetec ;)

DOHC stand for "Double Over Head Cam" which is the series 1 zetec engine

the series 2 zetec engine will say "zetec 16v"

the 1.6 is pretty shit for modding wise, all i can suggest is, a K&N and an exhaust, if you want to a de-cat and cam's

other than that your pretty limited, unless you want to turbo it but you wont get massive gains from that either 130-14-bhp+-

as terry said basically, the dohc where the early ones and i heard they had trouble with sticking valves or somthing and ford sorted it and re done the cam cover

your engine is the same as all the other zeta and zetec-e engine
