just bought the si, was £60 off a bloke who was going to buy my 130 spec zetec i had in my mk4 but he backed out the night before as his mate said the car should be scrapped. so i rescued it! its a 5 door 1.6 si, bit tatty a few dents here and there was originally bought with the intention of putting my 1.8 in it and using it as a run around whilst my escort gets painted over the winter.....plan have since changed however. i put the engine in on the weekend at work, then decided that i want to fit an xr2i kit to it, cutting the arches to fit the 5 door, gonna have tints all round sprayed matt black and put my old polished 7spokes on it as they are only 14s so wont fit over the escort's big brakes
bascially im putting the car together with what i have left over from breaking cars over the past 2/3years with spending the minimum amout of money!
havent got any pics so far but am putting in a new window regulator and tidying up the interiour tomorrow so will take some pics once its been washed! be warned though its in a bit of a sorry state i just cant bear to see half decent cars get crushed!
the escort is a 5 door mk4, had the boot despoilerd, dewiperd, delocked and both rear door handles removed (no rear seats anyways) 88 spec front cut out bumper, RST rear, 90 spec rear lights clear indicator etc etc fiesta turbo recaros, cobra 3 points, rear s/s strutbrace
tints all round, custom exhaust onto 4 branch manifold. rst bonnet (raised to give clearance to engine) engine is a mk6 rs2000 running on mk5 management, rst fuel tank and pump custom mounts etc etc, engine and box assy is spaced down on 10mm spacers as its wont fit otherwise, running a diesel box and a few other bits and bobs here and there. please note i hate these mirrors they will be removed and standard rst one sin their place once car gets sprayed again in the winter aka yes i now they look tacky its the only thing i havent changed on the car yet as my other mirrors are a very bad paint match!
zetec s is my missus's car, 1.6 zetec s, 16s scorpian exhaust black angel eyes, retrimmed mk5 rs2000 front recaros, upper and lower front strut braces, tints all round pics speak for theselves reallyon both cars, done a bit too much to remember now!
