Hi,
I feel incredibly stupid asking this question but didnt want to make a balls up. I've got an si with the 2.0l mondeo engine and I've got my MOT coming up but my car has got a de-cat which previous owner put on so i'm gonna have to buy a cat.
Do i just go for the standard si cat? or is there a sneaky way round it?

your just going to have to stick a cat on, i'm unsure if there are any "sneaky" way around making the emissions lower other than your cat. Probably not or else most people would do that.

if your lucky m8 it will go through without a cat just make sure you give it a thrash befor u take it to test but if it does fail and there is a free re-test just buy a cat

because it clears out the pipe and u dont get any loose carbons sucked up by the probe this is tryed and tested btw as mine has a de-cat and passed last time

freindly with the tester does help freind of mine ran the emissions of another car which id say is cheating but gets you another MOT haha
