The problem with Knockhill is the 2 long straights , and the Corsa's have the grunt on the straights , but cant corner worth a monkeys
Personally Id bin the I4 engine idea and go with the zetec conversion, you have all the bits there to do it with the 1600 already in p;lace, i,e sump, pick up , flywheel, waterpump etc... and if you do decide you want more grunt, and say you put 40's on it, its easy to sourse the manifolds and pumps required. There are [plenty of aftermarket parts available foir the zetec engine which will eventually give you the power you want , for not massive money ( with a 2.0 litre zetec running twin 40's and ford management , mine did 147 bhp)
The other good thing is there are plenty 2.0 litre zetecs available , and if you do blow it up , then its a cheap fix.
Youll have a lot of fun at Knockhill in a Fiesta , and if your going tomorrow , watch out for my 2 mates in their Fiestas ( grey and blue ones) and see how well they do, with sorted suspension, brakes and tyres, ) they will suprrise you how quick they are down through the twisties at Duffus Dip
