having some old car joy at the mo

the drivers side rear light has been leaking water into the boot, which i have only justnoticed

boot carpet is pretty damp as is my boot, so a dry out is required :)

also upon examination, the 21 year old light seal, is how can i say, knackered! cracked to bugger so a trip for a new seal or light and seal ( ihope its the former) is in order today.

i have also come across a solution for the tappy engine ;)

"due to the oil pump being poor on the cvh and the head lubrication (especially for the cam) being frankly, poor, a solution is a new cam, tappets etc but with an uprated oil pump to pump more oil around, and voila, less tappy (he hopes) cvh engine"

also the cork rocker gasket is leaking, so a rubber 1.8cvh gasket will be adapted for use as essentially they are the same. That said a cvh rocker gasket in cork is £2.50!

but bodywork is scheduled for week commencing 14.07.08

2 new tyres next friday 8-) (p6000s)

and the ashley system is being purchased soon :D

and hopefully the boot carpet dries out!

so before ford fair

1: Bodywork
2: Rocker Leak solved
3: Rear light leak solved BOLD= DONE 8-)
4: Boot Carpet dried out
5: Ashley System

6: 2 tyres

will be done, with the oil pump uprating taking place at some point, with a nice rustproofing planned before the winter sets in

:)

view through a ramp, i like it :red:

out my bedroom window!

The ashley is louder then i thought it would be

i like it though, not to big and i love the noise it makes, especially when you let off, or change down a gear, with the popping

I quite like how the lights have turned out, and as they are new, touch wood i wont get leakage problems

picked up a 90 spec spoiler on friday, that will be painted (maybe!) when the rest of the bodywork is done!

Mini Update!

My 90 spec spoiler is in the bodyshop now, being prepped and painted for £80, which isn't to bad as they are letting pay as i have the money as i use them alot 8-) :)

Found out my car is Diamond White

Also, will be purchasing the 3 door Sierra Cosworth alloys of Onslack (cheers buddy :D ) and they will be refurbed, (not in time for ford fair) but after seeing the price of centre cap locks (£120! ), i will be running capless until i can find some or warrant that much on locks! I still think it will look good, and set the car off.

:)

Once that is done, and the planned bodywork is completed, just a rust proofing is in order, and a further tidying up of the bodywork, and just enjoy driving her, and the reaction i get from most people. And of course, fix anything that breaks!

:)

The car made its appearance at the southern meet so i expect the pics becks took will be up soon :D

(good with a camera! are you available for work? )

Just decided on a new addition to the plan, in the shape of a kent cam.

As mine is getting a little tappy, i may as well upgrade, and i might upgrade the oil pump while i am at it :)

i will "borrow" some of the southern meet pics for this thread
