hey all i have a R reg mondeo with a silver top engine and a 2.0l of course can i use this to put in the fiesta or is the wrong series i have no idea what series mondeo it is tho so any help appreciated

its a silver top so all is good :chill:

its the series 1 and 2 your after(silver top) series 3 is the black top zetec engine :D

Looks like series 2 engine, as series 1 had DOHC 16v on cam cover, unless changed.

ye must be series 2 as not been changed had car since new lol . i need to sorce parts now lol can use a 1.6 ecu guru i now it wont run properly but will do till i can find a deep desk or dewy do i need the 1.6 throttle cable etc cheers paul

same throttle cable as far as i know because you will use either the 1.6 fiesta inlet or the rs1800 one :)

see the info on fitting the 2.0ltr to check which parts you definately need.

hey all got the dewy ecu today and loom but as i am using a 1.4 base will i have to take the mounts from the 1.6 si or can i fabricate some (maybe easier to take ones from 1.6 :? ) and do i have to use the 1.6 gearbox or can i use the 1.4 box as i was reading fastford today july 08 edition and they had a guide for a 1.4 escort to a 2.0l mondeo engine and they dont metion mounts but they use the 1.4 box

if i babled sorry lol just needing to finish this project befor i post up a guide etc lol cheers paul

You will need the 1.6 mounts, not sure on box, dunno if the 1.4 is the same style
